Health Is Wealth - Specialty medical camps with free/subsidised hospital treatment
A joint project for conducting specialist medical camps in rural areas for the benefit of economically weaker patients who cannot afford the present day cost of treatment at hospitals. MS Ramaiah hospital authorities have expressed their desire to provide free/subsidised treatment at their hospital for the patients who attend the speciality medical camps.
Sri Vivekananda Sevashrama is happy to conduct examination camps at Villages with the help and cooperation of MS Ramiah hospitals and send the patients for free/subsidised treatment.
Since the patient is economically weak, he cannot bear the cost of treatment, which includes:
- The cost of Screening Camps,
- Transport from the place of the camp to the hospital and back home,
- The cost of medicines and other essentials prescribed by the doctors,
- Hospital changes including diagnostic investigation charges.
- Food expenses
- Attendant expenses and
- Sundry expenses.
The hospital authorities are prepared to waive off/supply the following:
- Hospital charges and provide free / subsidised treatment to the extent possible
- Food for the patient during their stay at the hospital.
- Emergency Medicines and simple diagnostic investigation charges.
- To subsidies some of the charges to the extent possible.
We need sponsors to take care of the following expenses:
- Transport for the patient and the attendant.
- Medicines and other needs
- ICU & ICCU – intensive care - charges
- Diagnostic investigation charges
- Attendant expenses & Screening camp expenses
The patient has to bear the sundry expenses. When blood transfusion is required the patient should arrange for blood from among his relatives and friends.
We request the well-wishers to help Sri Vivekananda Sevashrama to meet the expenses through generous donations. They can also adopt one group of villages and meet the total hospitalisation expenses for the poor villagers from economically weaker section.
